After going down a rabbit hole I even tried installing and playing around with Logitech Control Centre before realising it's an unsupported and old device control software that I should not have even installed. Not that I expect that to solve the issue as I read lots of users are having problems with this.

You will want to press and holdthis button until the mouse appears in the list. I installed the latest Logitech Options, and I do not have the 'smooth scrolling' option even available that I see on online forums some versions of LO seems to have. Locate the CONNECT or RESET button on the bottom of the mouse. Even my old M272 and M545 has the smooth scrolling function on my Mac.

I also downloaded the new Option+ to register the mouse but there is no option to select smooth scrolling. The Macbook touchpad, with the logitech mouse connected via bluetooth, continues to work perfectly in parallel to the mouse. I purchased a Lift mouse recently but the smooth scrolling is not working on my Mac. It is an OS-wide problem, not specific to any one application or browser. Wait for your Mac to completely Shut Down > Wait for another 30 seconds and Restart your Mac. Click on the Apple Logo in top-menu bar and select Restart option in the dropdown menu.

It is not a delayed scrolling problem, suggesting the bluetooth connection itself is fine. Sometimes, the problem is due to stuck programs or processes interfering with the functioning of Mouse on your Mac. Most modern mice use optical sensors that have no moving parts. The scrolling using logitech mouse is horrible - not smooth, nor accelerating (elasticity). A computer mouse (plural mice, sometimes mouses) is a hand-held pointing device that detects. I'm a new user of logitech mouse 590 via bluetooth and had been using the macbook air's (2020) flawless touchpad until now. macOS Mojave 10.14.6 (18G103) LCC version 3.9.9 Unifying receiver firmware 12. I had this problem since the 3.9.9 update. I have to restart the mac or log off to make it work again and the mouse shows up again the che logi panel of the system preferences. I've read up extensively on smooth scrolling on logi's own community pages as well as outside it and have not found any satisfactory answer to this problem. The mouse shows up in the software logitech unifying and I can see the its status.
